Day 1: Arrival at Aire-sur-Adour (overnight and dinner)
Day 2: Aire-sur-Adour – Miramont Sensacq
For the final stage of Le Puy Route, the walk is les Landes département and its crop fields. Cultivated landscapes are dotted by hamlets with different ancient buildings, from well-conserved stone chapels to washhouses.

Day 3: Walk Miramont Sensacq – Arzacq
Today we come to walk to Arzacq-Arraziguet, a bastide town with two main squares. This town has an interesting history.In the 13th and 14th centuries this town was used to mark the boundary between France and Béarn which was then an independent country.

Day 4: Walk Arzacq – Pomps – Morlanne
Leave Landes and enter the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, gentle incline on most of the days walk.
Call the accommodation for tonight once you reach Pomps, the owner will pick you up and d rive you to the charming accommodation.

Day 5: Walk Pomps– Maslacq
Transfer back to Pomps. Today the path gets closer to the Pyrenees. The beauty of the route today lies in the nice paths taken along hillside from where, from time to time, we can see a steeple pointing up to the sky, from the valley below. The route runs through the round topped hills, passing by numerous villages and as many nice old churches. Then you will go down the Gave de Pau before reaching Maslacq.

Day 6: Walk Maslacq – Navarrenx
After crossing over the river Gave de Pau, there are a few long uphill stretches which add some difficulty to this nice walk. You will go down to Sauvelade, before climbing to the highest point (251m). One of the nicest rewards of the day comes after the effort, when arriving in Navarrenx, a beautiful fortified city which was the first bastionned city of France

Day 7: Walk Navarrenx – St Palais
As you depart the fortified town of Navarrenx you cross a bridge over the river and head towards Castenau-Camblong with its Béarn-style houses. You will pass two chateaux today, Montgaston and Joantho, the former you can visit, but the latter is privately owned. Once you get close to Lichos you have now crossed from the Béarn into French Basque country. Over the next few days, as you walk from one region to the next, the change in landscapes from green wooded hillsides to steep farm country with lofty conifers becomes more and more apparent. 29km, 7h00 walk
Day 8: Walk St Palais – Larceveau
No doubt, you are in the basque country ! This is another incredible walk, passing through few villages but offering beautiful views all way long. Walking through the peaceful countryside, we gradually make our way up to the chapel of Soyarce with its wonderful views over the Pyrenees. We pass the typical village of Ostabat (124m) and continue to Larceveau

Day 9: Larceveau – St Jean Pied de Port
The last day of the final section of Le Puy Route runs through the hilly and countryside of the Basque Country, with its grazing sheep and red roofed houses. The Camino goes up and down all day long, offering nice views over the green countryside and passing through villages with typical Basque names like Bastida Xoko, Utxiat or Bussunaritz. The journey ends up in the beautiful medieval Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, at the foothills of the Pyrenees and starting point of the French Way to Santiago.
