Spain is a gorgeous country to explore and one of the most popular vacation spots in the world. It’s hard to finalize a list of the best views in Spain, when every corner of the country seems to offer up such an intense and diverse a range of natural beauty — from craggy mountains to verdant hills and stunning coastlines. 1. The Aragonese Pyrenees

The Pyreenees mountain range stretch more than 430 kilometres between Spain and France, rising higher than 3,400 metres in elevation at their peak. The Aragonese Pyrenees are located at the top of Spain, along the border with France, encircled by the Catalan Pyrenees to the east and the Navarrese Pyrenees to the west. Brimming with quaint villages and stunning national parks, the views from the Aragonese are known as some of the best in Spain. The Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido is one of the world’s first national parks and UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is found on the mountain range. Its views of cascading waterfalls and lush woodland provide visitors with a true sense of Spanish splendour and majesty.

2. Mirador del Río, Lanzarote

Situated on a 500 metre escarpment called Bateria del Rio, Mirador del Rio is an incredible viewpoint which offers jaw-dropping views of the surrounding Canary Islands.

There are telescopes in the viewing platform, which improve the view even more, meaning on a clear day you can see to the islands of Montaña Clara and Alegranza. If you’re in Lanzarote Mirador del Rio shouldn’t be missed.

3. Toledo

The city of Toledo is the capital of the province of Toledo, in the community of Castile–La Mancha, central Spain. Being one of the country’s most spectacular cities, there are many incredible views to enjoy throughout Toledo, but the view from the Mirador del Valle (a scenic viewpoint) is one of the best. From this vantage point, you can experience a full panorama of the glorious city, across the Valley of Toledo and the Tagus River. The sunset views from this spot are truly breathtaking.

4. Ronda

Ronda is a mountaintop Spanish city, and its high elevation means that it’s brimming with places to enjoy truly epic views. But the city’s finest views are found at the El Tajo Gorge. The famous Puente Nuevo bridge is the best vantage point for the gorge. It was completed in 1793, after 42 years of construction, and joins the old Moorish town with the newer parts of the city. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the spring, you’ll see that the whole of the gorge is awash with flora and fauna.

5. Santa María de Montserrat, Montserrat

Celebrated as the spiritual heart of Catalonia, Montserrat is one of Europe’s top pilgrimage sites. Located just 45 kilometres from Barcelona, Montserrat can refer to the mountain and also the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, located on the mountain. Hiking its heightest point, Sant Jeroni, is an incredible experience, and the sunset views on offer with stay with you for a lifetime.
